To mark our studio's third anniversary, we designed playful invitations that were a veritable assault on the senses. Rather than a traditional invitation poster, we opted for a printed raincoat featuring a bold, heavy-duty design built to withstand grey days and fashion fads. A design for all seasons!
These fluorescent yellow raincoats sported the motto “Waterproof Design.” We collaborated with formalist poet-artist Steve Savage to produce two versions of the raincoat, each stamped with the studio's slogans in a military dog tag-style typeface.
Result
They say that love lasts for three years. On our third anniversary, however, our passion was greater than ever and we wanted to push our bold vision even further. Our invitations to the event celebrating our anniversary were recognized for the third year in a row in the Grafika Contest and also received an Applied Arts Award. Most importantly, none of our guests got wet during the event.
