About
Designed for the writer Daniel Canty, the book L'île d'Emaü : Archipelago of the Future is the central vector of his most recent artistic project: a true fiction taking the form of a letter from our future - written by a nostalgic artificial intelligence - that opens a dialogue with our future. The studio has signed a graphic design that plays with the codes of digital and epistolary. The illustration work is the result of a research in the provincial cartographic archives, which then led to a digital transformation exercise.
Published in 300 copies, the letter-book, signed Emaü, a futuristic and fictitious machine, was first sent to 100 individuals. This new centurie was then invited to respond to the mailing, via a questionnaire included in the publication. In return, the audience received a piece of music. L'ïle d'Emaü : Archipel d'avenir is still available at the bookstore Le Port de Tête or by contacting the author directly (daniel@danielcanty.com).
