About

The association between Baillat Studio and Mutek MX happened organically, which is why it has been going on since 2015. In 2019, the studio flies to Mexico to present a new level of scenographic and video work. Through performances by John Talabot and Circle of Live, Baillat Studio's creations enliven the crowd and showcase the studio's ease in this context.

Baillat Studio's universe was built in parallel to the VJing one. The studio never misses an opportunity to dive back into it, even less when it comes to Mutek MX. For this edition, Baillat had fun with an exciting scenography: two horizontal screens that overhang the DJ booth, positioned in the center of an inspired crowd.

MUTEK MEXICO 2019 - LA FABRICA - JOHN TALABOT (FRIDAY)

At La Fábrica, on the outskirts of Mexico City, the studio capitalized on the circular set design to create a mesmerizing experience that inhabits the entire space.

Mutek MX 2019 marks the 16th edition of the Mexican branch of the festival.

Result

For this magical edition, Baillat Studio's scenographic work was awarded a Grand Prize in the Grafika 2019 contest presented by Infopresse.
